after effects

how to import image sequence into after effects 
  • 12 frames per second 
  •  double click project patch to import image sequence - jpeg sequence should be selected so all images upload from the file 
  • frame:30 
  • drag image sequence into timeline 
  • click on left hand box image and press S- SCALE alter to whatever 
  • press r to rotate image 
  • OR on scale unclick button next to orange writing and the putting - numbers in the orange writing e.g. -47 
to alter how after effects interprets images image sequence that are important:


you can see the sequence will now last longer as the grey/blue bar has got longer 
drag the arrow bar to the end of the blue/grey bar to reveal the whole sequence 

to put timer on end of sequence -(N) OR drag the bar at the end to meet the end of the image sequence 

to loop sequence- right click on project jpeg again- interpret footage - main =


EFFECT MENU 

or in right hand side box type in effect your looking for e.g. saturation - then effect you want drag onto compositon layer and adjust till right 
fx- seeing before and after- turning on and off 

playing around with levels 
 


play around with scanning images from image sequence into computer then using after effects 


adding still image to sequence 
drag image from project pad to left hand pad 
toggle switches /modes button - reveals layer options e.g. multiple 
change image to multiply layer so animation shows through 

to apply effects/fillters to multiple layer, select effects controls layer (top left hand side next to project) select the effect-copy-paste 



time reverse layer - 

to reverse sequence 
edit- split layer-copy layer -paste layer - layer-time reversal 

how to export composition to a finished animation 
composition - add to render queue 
render settings - click best settings 
options - e.g. resolution 
time span - choose to export just the work area or the whole compositon 

lossless - format options - video codec
