I made this consetina book in a book binding workshop- I think this type of binding would be idea to build up a momentum, adding to the idea of a idea/imagination evolving in you head.
I also think it's makes for a stronger concept when you can see the whole process in one glance instead of in a book where you have to turn the page- the information from the previous page may have been forgotten therefore the concept is lost e.g-
