really clever concepts which on first glance are nonsense to viewer/me. this is something i want to achieve in my prints, to puzzle the viewer straight away with what they mean.
even though these illustrations might not have a meaning, i find it interesting how we, well i, always assume art work does.should have a reason behind it, when it could just be something interesting or nice to look at.
i epecially like the simplicity of the swan/questionmark piece, the motifs are clearly recognisable without over complicating them. - i.e. we can tell its a swan from the beak and neck. also the colours used -black- denotes to use straight away that it is a black swan, connoting the negative associations with black swans compared to a white swan.
