as i am half way through on the drawing animation task, i am becoming wary weather the images work/flow together smoothly creating a good animation- i have already redrawn a few of my frames as i found when i aligned my paper a few drawings did not sit in the same lines as the previous frames. because i can't see if i have made a mistake clearly with each drawings i decided to scan in each frame onto the computer and take it into after effects and create a animation of what i had so far.
problems i encountered:
frames missing
jumbling up of frames
as i am not confident on after effects its took me a while to get my head around how to use the software to create the animation, also i came across problems i haven't encountered before, so my lack of knowledge made it harder and longer for me to resolve issues such as when some of my frames got jumbled up.
as i suspected, the frames did not run as smoothly as i would of hoped which made the animation quite jumpy in parts due to the alignment of the drawings.
this is something i will need to take more care with when drawing the frames using a peg bar and lightbox.
i have found this process to be alot more difficult, tricky, and delicate than i initially thought.
below i have played around with adding a time reversal on my image sequence to make the animation longer and to emphasise the idea of how imagination works - sees something, changes image in imagination then sees original image again.
this saves me time creating frames that are identical to fames i have already done, to also makes it look more professional and believable as the image will look exactly the same.
