i wanted to show how lewis carroll imagination used to change people into animals etc based on personality - e.g the dodo character in alice in wonderland is said to be based on himself due to characteristics he links to the animal - he's stammerer 'dodo' 

however i did not want to use a photograph/printed picture of a person, however i also knew it would take to long to draw the portrait using dragon frame to show the process of the drawing being made and then the process of it changing, so i have decided to draw the portrait in the same drawing style of the rest of the drawn sequences and then i will add the imagination drawing on-top showing the process.
