researching ways to add colour onto my etchings
| as i want my pieces to look vibrant and magical to connote Lewis Carrolls vivid imagination and magical nature of he's work, i wanted the colours to be bold like this piece about, i like how this piece is like a explosion of colour that can't be contained in lines- much like he's over active imagination, however i feel there is to much colour on this piece, i want to have minimal colour to make the colour i do have stand out to create certain focal points. i also only want to use a mixture of 2 colours on the motifs i chose to colour, and these colours will be picked to suit the mood/feeling behind/about the motif. |
| i prefer the subtle use of colour on this piece. i also like how this artist (sunga Park) has only added the colour to detailed parts, allowing negative space to make the detailed parks the focal point. |
| this is a drypoint etching with added colour - the process i want to do, however the colour has been added by adding a block of paper colour which had been transferred onto the paper. |
