Pushkin Press Allure of Channel book cover design brief

BRIEF TITLE
Allure of Channel
Brief
Create a stand alone interpretive illustration for the book cover of ‘the allure of channel’ by Paul Morrand which charts the life of the 20th centuries most enigmatic iconic woman, Coco Channel.

Product
Tone of Voice

Stand alone image
my interpretation: a stand along image that communicates not only channel as a designer (to draw in people who only know her for this) but her as a person.
As this is a autobiography I want to illustrate a portrait of Channel but still communicate the tangible feelings and atmposheres communicated in the book through colour (lack of colour) and other motifs within/surrounding it.

From brief:
Any media,
Any colour or black and white
My interpretation:
Using mundane colours or just black and white as these are the colours she used in her clothing designs and also wore herself.

Audience
Context
Fashion students
People who buy channel products and would like to know about the woman behind it.
Existing fans of channel.
