Why i have chosen the brief
i like the fact the brief is fairly open to interpretation, but has a specify subject -person for me to explore.
researching and finding out peoples life, finding out things i didnt know is something i have
always loved to do, so i feel this brief is perfect for me, allowing me to take the information i
find and visually communicate it though my illustrations.
i also like the fact the person in subject is a fashion designer, i have always been interested
in fashion and fashion illustration, and i feel this type of illustration is suitable to explore when
thinking of ways to develop a illustration to visualise and represent her (coco Chanel).
though the brief is only asking for a book cover design, i would like to consider a range of compositions and concepts
as my idea will need to simple but effective and work well in the confinements of a cover and a white background.

the problem i aim to solve in this brief is to interpret 'the Allure of Chanel' in a way that will engage its audience and
challenge them to pick up the book and find out more.
