above i have Played around with character designs of the pig, and positioning of the pig in the frame. i Experimented with a realistic looking pig, and a cartoon looking pig, however i thought the realistic one would work better as needed it to give the impression of what a piggy bank would look like.
i really like the idea of showing the full pig with a man crawling into the coin slot on a adder, thought this was a clear idea and illustrated exactly what I want to show. however I have not incorporated/thought about affect the frame could have. So I developed the idea by incorporating the frame. iThought about the workshop I did with Fred, where I simplified my illustrations, showing only what I needed in the illustration for viewers to understand what I'm trying to show. to use this method I reduced the amount of pig on show as you do not need to see the whole pig, is focused be attention more on the narrative in the illustration, And also made use of the frame.

here is the first sketch i did of the piggy bank resolution. i Started off using a white pencil too shade in the shadow areas of the pig. however after taking a step back in looking at sketch, I thought it looked bored using a light colour to show the shadow areas, giving it negative/opposite effect. so I decided to draw it out again but this time using the white pencil show the highlight areas of the pig, the colour of the paper to show the mid tones of the pig, and a black pencil am black fine line to show the shadow areas of the pig.
