developing the concept of tattoos to illustrate the quote 'life is theart of drawing without a eraser'

• thinking about tattoos that reflect on a life event or a regret in life. 
• using the tattoo idea to illuminate the inability to 'erase' memories in life. 
• -past lovers,memories, regrets, etc. 

• developing idea of past lovers which you cant forget, using the tattoo to visually show these un-erasable memory. 
• tried to think of ways to emphasis the idea of love/love event in life- looked at having women in a wedding dress as this is a clear, obvious way to visualise 'a love event' and a 'significant memory'  
• i wanted to exaggerate the concept of how you may have life events/memories in life you want to forget about but you cant and you will alway have constant reminders, im using the idea of tattoos as these marks on your body will always be a constant reminder of the day you had it done, the reason you had it done, and the memories that come with it. i thought by making the tattoo itself on this illustration contain the words '4eva (forever)' along side the crying bride, this would illustrate the life event which she can not erase and will always be a constant reminder of that day, the past reason behind the tattoo etc. i also liked the fact i have used the word forever whilst she is crying in a wedding dress -quite irony.

• really like the one clutching the tissue- conveys exaggerated emotions. 
• thought i could add a message saying 'sorry' on the tissue, again adding emphasis on the fact it is a memory she will want to forget. 

after researching into types of tattoos people get, i found that a number of people get them for late loved ones. again, past loves ones are people you will never forget, and though it may come with heartache and grieve is something that you don't want to experience, life will not let you forget/erase these memories. 

again, using idea of tattoos to visually represent this grieve that people experience- something that is not seen/ not a physical thing, yet still exists in your head.

i have also included grave stone in the illustration to illuminate the idea of death. 

for my 3rd illustration, i wanted to look at tattoos that a symbolise a regret in life that cant be forgotten or even literally a type of tattoo someone has got and now really regret.
