developing own images

here i created a mask on my first layer, which meant i could colour over marks on my drawings. if i got rid of marks by accident, by using the mask, this meant i could paint back over it in black which meant the mark would come back.

here i used the lasso tool to select parts of my drawing to fill with colour. because i wanted a outline to my drawing, i selected the fx tool and then selected stroke.

i also did this for the cherry, however i wanted the face to show through, so instead of having the layer on 'normal' i changed it to multiply which allowed layer below to show through.

i used stokes here as well.  i also added a drop shadow effect using fx and stoke, which made the text look more 3d and added contrast making them stand out.

to make the text look more realistic i could have used the 'T' text tool and inputting my writing digitally and then added the stroke layer to this, however i preferred  the sketchier, graphic feel.
