Developing initial wedding dress idea

This is my initial idea I created when working into frames.

I wanted to develope it Because I liked the composition of the long dress trail. 

I developed it by thinking about character design and ways I could show the concept of how daughters exploit their parents by settling for a partner and relying on their parents resources. I've tried to do this by making the husband look unkept. 

I then tried to experiment with different frames with the same idea just incase it would be more effective. 

I don't think these frames work as the idea only worked when I could show the length of the wedding dress trail... Giving the impression the parents were always 'behind' (backing) their daughter.
