this afternoon fred made us try to produce illustrations working into a set frame instead of creating illustrations and then trying to put them in a frame.
i have already tried to do this in some of my previous idea thumbnails.
he also wanted us to think about concepts, visual concepts and ideas when thinking about the type of illustration we needed to create.
the concepts we were working with were the 3 words we choose from the article, the visual concept will be the things that represent/illustrate that word and the idea will be how we use the visual concept to make the illustration.
i really struggled with this at first as my words are quite complex, therefore thinking of a single, simple visual concept for these words is quite hard.
my words were:
evolution
genetics
pea-cocking
in the image above i have tried to incorporate illustrations ideas i have already done (previous idea development) into the set frame. (landscape)
