developing on favourite medias further: cut paper collage and pen.

after looking through all my development of different medias, i decided the collage paper in combination with pen (for the figures) was most effective and the one i enjoyed doing the most.
i experiment with this technique further so i could perfect it.
instead of using fine line i used a biro- this allowed me to reduce the pressure i applied to the plan which changed the tone i was adding to the face, allowing me to add shadow detail- something i found hard to do with a fine liner.
i liked this effect a lot more, so much so i have decided to scratch using pen altogether and use pencil to draw the figures as pencil allows you to add tone easier and smudge shadow areas.
in the drawing approve i attempted to use collage material to create the background of the picture, however i feel this may take attention away from the subject matter- the person. matt suggested i should create the backgrounds on photoshop.
