manuscript with illustration suggestions
Confusion arose as the illustrations he had liked on my Instagram and Facebook were of single images whereas he was describing whole complex scenes.
I wasn’t expecting him to dictate the subject as much as I haven’t had to work in such a restricted way before. I explained that only small parts of the story needed to be visually documented to leave room for the readers own imagination. In order to reassure him, and myself, I provided him with the dragon illustration which we had discussed, this meant we were both happy with the anticipated outcome before commencing more work. i also plan to show him illustration sketches i am working on the finished pieces before moving onto more pages to reassure myself he is happy with the chosen technique of spot illustration rather then complex story board illustrations so i don't waste time.
i also wasnt expecting their to be so many pages with image suggestions! i will have to now make clear how many illustrations he wants me to do/ how many pages i can realistically do for my submission as i can always carry on creating illustrations after my deadline if he feels he wants more then i can produce for my deadline.
