hannah Sawtelll

thinking about how to add the lanscape building of the houses of parliaments  to winston churchill's figure drawing.
as i wasn't 100% happy with my previous experimentations of the line drawing (adding gradients of colour to the one) i have found this artist who combines washes of colour to building line drawings. i think this is really effective as it doesn't take away from the line drawings themselves, but manages to make the illustration a lot more prominent.
solid background colour:
i was stuggling to figure out where and how to add a background colour to my design idea as i felt leaving a blank white background it too risky for a packing and also does not allow it to stand out. i like how this artist has used the colour to silhouette the buildings.
