adding the pattern to Marie Curies dress.

to add the pattern i selected the dress area and deleted it, i then adding the pattern layer underneath the image layer so the pattern was visible through the space i deleted. i added several pattern layers to make up the dress so the pattern was more detailed. 

one problem with this however, was that when the duplicates of the patterns where placed next to each other there was either a sight cross over which was visible. i will need to figure out how to blend the patterns together in the final image. 

i have used the burn tool and the highlighter tool to give the impression of shadow and highlighted areas.
