POSTER

we decided to deface the kcf sign we came across when searching for signs for our final poster as it is a ad that is over used a lot and on that we saw almost everywhere. the idea behind adding illustrations of pound signs in the eye of the mans glasses is to connote the main reason to every advert we see. to make money. any advert we see is not just there to look nice, they are only there for one thing, to make a lasting impression on us so we remember the product they are promoting and make us what to spend money on that product.
i like the subtleness of the pound signs in the add, as it is fairly symbolic of the subtleness of the averts purpose (to sell). i think the positioning of the pound signs is also quite clever as i feel the eyes are commonly associated with truth and personality, by covering them up and hiding them with pounds signs represents the coldness of advertisement and the false connection adverts try to have with viewers (friendly and caring) where in fact they don't think of you as a individual, they just care about where your spending your money.
we also thought by making the pound signs green also portrays the greed of corporation.
