3d illustration- producing a mutation/gif

at first i was not looking forward to this project because i struggled to think of a interesting concept which was simple yet understandable. i also was worried about how to create the work for the giff, as i felt it needed to be simple yet effective and i have never really been good at producing simple work.

though i had all these worries, i realised i just needed to relax and have fun with this brief as the brief itself was not meant to be serious, it was meant to be engaging and fun.

for my idea, i focused on a dislike of mine- thinking of a idea you like and then loosing it!
a lightbulb is commonly used to visually illustrate a idea, as this is a simple shape to communicate i decided to take on this image and try and illustrate my concept.
i also thought by adding exaggerated facial expressions would narrate the concept further and make i more humorous.

the final giff!
i am pleased with the end result, as it is simple but also playful. i like how there is a equal balance between 2d and 3d.
however after seeing other peoples giff, i feel mine could of been a lot better, though i feel for my first attempt i am happy. seeing other peoples has made me see how effective, visually engaging and interesting giffs can be. in further i will consider using giffs if i have a brief where i need to narrate a concept.
