though i have a technique idea for my portrait illustrations, i still wanted to try and think of a new technique to develop as the idea i im currently working with i have done simuilar in the past and therefore dont feel i am challanging myself that much.
so i have been researching on ways to present my work changing compostion/framing/size etc.

| a triptych |
as i am planning on illustrating 4 subjects/people- john, constance, Jean and Roland (couple) as a set of 3 (the couple would be in one illustration) i was considering using a format/layout that would connect the 3 together by using the illustrated objects/places etc that decribes the person and the memories/life they have shared with me and making them flow across into the next persons portrait. for eg, john and Jean and Roland have the lake district in common - john enjoyed walking and cycling their when he was younger and jean snd roland live there so the map illustration of cumbria/lake district can flow from johns portrait into jean and Rolands.
i then came across this street photographer Adde Adesoken who focus's mainly on figure photography in natural environments when researching more into a triptych format.
i think this layout would be ideal to focus on key parts of the portrait that i feel best show them as a person. i would combine each part with illustrations to decribe them in certains areas i felt were suitable i.e in constance's flowery top i would add illustrations of flowers to connote her life in the nursery (garden centre) and for john i would could place a bicycle around his leg area to show his love for cycling when he was younger or a map to show he liked to walk.
