i decided to go with the boat thumbnail. i thought though this my not of been the most compositionally best thumbnail out of my ideas, but i felt the simplicity of this thumb was more aesthetically pleasing.
i am happy with my final piece as i think it captures a line of sight. i used ink and water to paint it which is a tool have only used a few times, i really like the different tones and shades it gives to the pieces which i myself have no control over. however i did find it difficult to add detail with the paint brush and ink and i also find it hard to show a realistic difference between the sky and the sky.
this excerize had made me think about the composition of a illustration and how by using line of sight and depth can make the image more visually interesting. i made me think more like a photography capturing a effective image.
