detailed original face portraits of elderly people i met

hazel

john

constance
Roland and Jean

i drew each head on a a3 piece of paper as large as i could, i then planned, like i have done for jean and Rolands portrait above, to draw the outline of the bodies and digitally editing them both together if the process i decided to take the portraits into required a outline of the body.

setting manageable work load (hopefully)
though above i have drawn (started to draw) 5 people, and have interviewed at least 6, after tutorials and realising how much time each portrait has taken me and how long labour intensive the other development ideas have taken me to create a portrait with elements of the indiviuals story I've decided to focus on 4 people - 1 man (john), 1 woman (Hazel) and a couple. i think this gives me a good balance and showcased a diverse range of elderly lives. By setting myself a specific number of people and projects to deal with i hope i will be able to manage my time better and be more selective and direct developing each portrait with the same technical idea in order to keep a coherent set of portraits and body of work.
