i was finding it really difficult to create the composition for the couple i am illustrating using the same technique i have used for hazel and john - using the portraits with illustrated elements around the face to tell their story. 

feedback from peers and my general observations:

though initial idea was to connect the 2 with visuals which decribe their live inbtween their portraits, it has done the adverse effect and seperated them further. 

the detail of the portraits are becoming lost even though they should be the focus. 

though this needs developing a lot, i think i prefer the layout - moving the illustrations away from the faces.
